According to the gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, Jesus was crucified on the hill Golgotha, that was also known as Calvary.

In Final Fantasy Tactics, the "Golgorand Execution Site" is clearly, from its contextual representation, derived from these four books of the New Testament.

From the Book of John

19:16 And they took Jesus, and led him away. 19:17 And he bearing his cross went forth into a place called the place of a skull, which is called in the Hebrew Golgotha: 19:18 Where they crucified him, and two other with him, on either side one, and Jesus in the midst.
