A half-human, half-bull; allegedly from a union between the queen of Crete and Minos' prized bull as punishment for his arrogance. Later Minos demanded sacrifice from Athens, which involved sending individuals to a labyrinth in which the Minotaur dwelled. Theseus managed to slay the Minotaur and find his way out.
