Several online German dictionaries list "weltall" as "universe". However, the word "weltall" should be more accurately used in the context of "outer space", while "universe" is translated to German as "universum".[1]
Some usages of "weltall" are:
- Deutsche im Weltall (Germans in space)
- Leben im Weltall (life in space)
- Geräusche aus dem Weltall (sounds from space)
- Technologien, die im oder für das Weltall entwickelt wurden (technology developed in or for outer space)
Substituting "universe" for "outer space", would not make much sense as it can be seen from these examples.
Appears in
- Xenogears as Weltall
- Figureheads as Weltall
